I love to write! The joy of writing flowed out of me like lava once I took a chance in letting all the words out that had been locked inside of me for so many years. A few supportive words from a facilitator of a writing workshop prompted me to submit my work, and lo and behold, I have been published! It is a thrill to see my words in print, in a magazine or newsletter, but then the idea of a blog had been presented to me by a couple different people. Being retired, a baby boomer and not well versed in the world of all things online, I was a bit hesitant. But I finally took the plunge, and well, here I am! I hope to discover other wonderful words to read. I still love the feel of a book in my hand; it is my preferred way of reading. But the world is changing, and change is always a welcome guest in my life. So I enjoy life, my gift of time that I have now, and write whenever the spirit moves me, sharing my words with others.
a warm and welcome place to share words and thoughts

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I live on Lake Superior — Michigan — 4 hours from Duluth. I have some poems about Superior, and many about snow and cold. I will read more of your blog in my leisure, maybe Saturday. Cheers. Ray
Thanks Ray! I would love to read more of your work and will follow your site. I have a friend who lived in Marquette, MI for awhile – she really misses it, except maybe all the snow!
Good for you for following your heart. Last year during October, I started my blog having never read poetry, much less written it. Nor had I ever read a blog, nor did I know how to create one. But I have been guided every step of the way and am delighted with blogging as it allows me to meet lovely people like you from all over the world. Hugs, pat
Thank you Pat, for your supportive words. I am so enjoying the world of blogging; it is a way to share my words and find the beautiful words of others, such as yourself – what a joy!
I was down visiting Portland last October and I loved it! so many friendly people and going down to Newport was an incredible experience š will be going down again hopefully come summer š
I’m so glad to hear that you love Portland too! Yes, everyone here has been so very friendly and helpful. And isn’t the coast beautiful? I went there a couple times over the summer, and was awestruck by the beauty of the Oregon coast – breathtaking…
Hi! I’m a Filipino blogger and allow me to just barge in here. Bloggers from other countries interest me because I’d like to see how you guys live your everyday, how do you view the world, how do you see yourself amidst the passing of times, the rising of commodities’ prices, the settings of the sun, the deaths and rebirths of humanity. The internet is an interesting place, with all the personalities and idead circulating, contradicting and growing here. I am looking to expand my online world, and meet more people here. I felt that it was enough that you love to write, that is a good commonality to begin with š
Welcome to the US! I hope you find a slice of life here in my blog.
Greetings from your neighbor to the north (Seattle area), and thank you for your visit on my blog. Yours looks interesting – I will take a look around! š
Hi Betty and thanks for following my blog. I visited yours more extensively, and am now following – you have written some very lovely poems, and I look forward to reading more. Hope your Seattle weather isn’t too rainy, like my lovely Portland:)
Your beautiful spirit shines through your eyes and your smile. I so enjoy your writings. I too have only recently discovered blogging. It took a two-week, all-things internet crash course from my daughter to jump start me but I love it. Blessings
Thank you so much for your kind words, and I’m so glad that you enjoy my words. I love your site also, and am now following it – I look forward to reading more of your blog š
What joyful posts and musings. SO glad to have found your blog. Bless xx
Thank you so much for your kind words. I found your wonderful blog, and am now following it. I hope to blog more lately, but I am busy editing my memoir I am writing, about my time of awakening – then it is off to find a publisher – the scary part š
Trust! And happy editing xx
Thanks for following me and I hope you continue to enjoy! Have a wonderful day! š
I look forward to reading your work Lauren š
